NOTRE DAME DE NAMUR UNIVERSITY
100 Years In Belmont Utilizing Local and Industry Media to Engage a Community

The Problem
Notre Dame De Namur University (NDNU) recently reached two large milestones: becoming a graduate-only institution and celebrating the 100th anniversary of its Belmont campus. Archer Education capitalized on these events to strategize positive PR in local and industry media and tell the world that NDNU is growing with an exciting future ahead.
The Archer Approach
Archer pitched local, national, women’s interest, and higher ed-specific publications and podcasts to garner interest in these milestones. Utilizing thought leadership tactics, Archer reinforced NDNU’s role in higher education and the community while highlighting the faculty’s specific areas of expertise.
We continued to layer in different elements to increase the reach of our pitching efforts, including tying the 100th anniversary to a variety of different themes, including the following:
- NDNU as a graduate institution
- NDNU as a pillar of the local community
- NDNU as a catalyst in expanding opportunities for women

Partnership Highlights
- The 100th anniversary event in 2023 served as a focal point for the media. Archer leveraged this to build interest in the university and its mission.
- Archer found it advantageous to offer an interview with a key stakeholder, President Beth Martin, to members of the media.
- Archer was able to arrange interviews, tapings, and photoshoots two months before the event.
- Archer was able to provide ample resources to media members that touched on the “Why?” piece of this anniversary, including school history facts and the history of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
All media wins about the 100th anniversary celebration were obtained during the three-week event buildup in September. Archer’s work for these wins was largely carried out in August and early September.
